The Magus Circle Wishlist Checklist
Nine checks before 24 September 2026 — Steam, Discord, hardware, language, and this wiki.
Steam lists 24 September 2026 for The Magus Circle. That date is a store tile, not a package on your porch. The useful work happens now: wishlist, follow, join the right rooms, and confirm your PC can hold a download that is larger than the 500 MB slogan. This page is a checklist. Tick it once, then go draw. For the date itself see the release date page. For hardware tables see system requirements. For official URLs see Links.
The game is single-player. You are not recruiting a couch partner. You are making sure the one mage on your machine can enter the circle when Steam says the app is purchasable — and that you already know Ice Spear from meteor swarm.
The checklist
1. Steam wishlist (app 2796640)
Open the full game store page and press Wishlist. This is the only click that lets Steam email you if a price appears or the coming-soon state flips. Price is not listed yet. Do not hunt key shops for a number By Witchlight has not printed.
2. Follow the game on Steam
Follow sits next to Wishlist. Follow is how festival recaps, trailer uploads, and “That’s Steam Next Fest!”-style posts show up in your Steam client. The Next Fest page explains why that post mattered: 21,000+ players, Very Positive demo reviews, and a public list of more characters, maps, spells, upgrades, hub activities, and Curio sass.
3. Discord
Join at least one official invite:
Both have been used as studio invites. Mute aggressively. Pin the rules. Bug reports belong there more than they belong in a Steam review written at 2 a.m. after a Leviathan.
4. Patreon (optional)
patreon.com/cw/TheMagusCircle is optional. The Next Fest thank-you pointed at diaries, wallpapers, music, and a possible extra demo around the end of March. That March line is historical — it is what the follow-up post said, not a current promise this checklist repeats as a deadline. Pay if you want studio extras. Do not pay because you think it is a required key.
5. GPU and RAM check
Minimum RAM is 4 GB across platforms. Windows recommended is 8 GB. Graphics: DirectX 10+ on Windows, Metal on macOS, RDNA2 / GTX 1050-class wording on Linux. Read the full tables on system requirements. If Steam itself will not run because you are on an OS the 2024 Steam client dropped, fix that before you wishlist-and-forget.
6. Mouse versus tablet
A mouse works. A drawing tablet is optional. If you already own a tablet, plug it in and practice on How to Draw Spells. If you do not own one, do not buy one for this checklist. Crude recognition is the whole point of the design: messy sigils still hold magic. Keep the spell sigils table nearby so you know which name you are aiming at.
7. Korean or English
The store lists English and Korean for interface and subtitles. Pick the one you read at speed. Boss telegraphs are not the moment to discover you launched in the other language. There is no third official store language to install.
8. Demo, if Steam still lists it
The demo (app 4289390) opened on 23 February 2026. Festival pages come and go. If the demo store URL still shows an install button, use it. Expect about 2.2 GB, not 500 MB. If the page is gone, the demo guide still tells you what that slice contained: mansion hub, first mages, sigil combat. Then wait on the full-game listing.
9. Bookmark this wiki
Bookmark the Guides Hub, Getting Started, How to Play, How to Beat Bosses, the players hub for Milk, Rum, and Matcha, and the tier list for spells, characters, and upgrades. The Updates Hub is the date desk. The Tools Hub is this family of pages. You will not remember invite URLs from a screenshot in a group chat.
What you should not wait for
- A Trello. None is confirmed. Do not stall your wishlist on a board that does not exist.
- A price. Not listed yet.
- A Steam Deck Verified badge. Compatibility is Unknown.
- A second local mage. Single-player only.
- A guaranteed 24 September morning. Steam lists that date. Listings move. Wishlist is how you hear about the move.
Studio contacts if something breaks: info@themaguscircle.com, bywitchlight.com, YouTube @TheMagusCircle, Instagram themaguscircle. People named on Steambase: Sean Porio, Dayoon Lee, Kevin Ray / KevDev. None of them can wishlist the game for you.
Tick the nine items. Then stretch your casting hand. The Tide does not grade your spreadsheet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is wishlisting enough?
Wishlist is the important Steam click. Also follow the game so news posts appear in your client, and join Discord if you want bug channels and trailer pings.
Do I have to join Patreon?
No. Patreon is optional. The Next Fest post advertised diaries, wallpapers, music, and a possible extra March demo as a historical offer, not a required key.
Should I wait for a Trello before I wishlist?
No. There is no confirmed Trello. Use Steam news, Discord, and this wiki.
What if the demo page 404s?
The demo opened on 23 February 2026 and may no longer be listed. Wishlist the full game (2796640) anyway. The demo guide on this wiki still describes that build.
Mouse or tablet?
Mouse is enough. Tablet is optional. Confirm RAM and disk on the system requirements page before you shop for hardware you do not need.
English or Korean?
Those are the two listed languages. Choose the one you read quickly in combat. There is no extra store language pack.
