Chicha in The Magus Circle

Chicha is the fourth portrait on The Magus Circle’s 0.4.6 character-select rail, sitting under Coffee and above Rum. The sprite is green-gold: ornate jewelry, a circlet, a decorated robe, a small caster who reads as a different person from Coffee even though both lean green. That is the entire honest identity we can print from public materials. This page is not a fanfic kit.

The Magus Circle is a single-player survival roguelite. Steam lists 24 September 2026. The Next Fest demo opened on 23 February 2026. Chicha was selectable in the 0.4.6 screenshot. Selectable is not the same as documented. If you need numbers today, start on Milk or Rum and come back.

What the select screen actually prints

The left rail, top to bottom:

1. Milk — bunny-ear witch, Nimble, Bunny Form.
2. Matcha — green hair, glasses, antlers, tea-room face.
3. Coffee — green-skinned, sun-emblem robes, mansion speaker.
4. Chicha — green-gold sprite, unlocked in that shot.
5. Rum — Magus General, Spellblade.
6. Anchan — blue horned caster, locked at 25 currency.

When you click Milk, the right pane fills with ability text. When this wiki looked at public screenshots, that pane belonged to Milk. We do not have a matching Chicha card in the materials we used. No Nimble analogue. No Spellblade analogue. No Meet Chicha short the way Matcha has Meet Matcha. Studio attention is not evenly spread across the six names, and this page will not pretend otherwise.

Do not fill the silence with a fermented-drink theme, a gold-aura aura, a jewelry-based shield, or any other guess that would look clever until the 24 September 2026 client prints the real sentence. Read the in-game card. Quote that card later.

How not to confuse Chicha with Coffee

Both portraits sit in the green half of the rail. That is a palette, not a family tree.

• Coffee has a confirmed mansion dialogue screenshot: “It’s not a cauldron. But I grant you the tools at hand leave much to be desired.” Large art shows gold rings, a sun on a blue sash, a staff. Coffee is playable and a speaker. See the Coffee page.
• Chicha has the fourth slot and the green-gold jewelry sprite. We do not have a labeled Chicha speech box in the screenshots this wiki used. Absence of a quote is not proof Chicha never talks. It is proof we will not invent the line.

Matcha is a third green-adjacent face: antlers, glasses, tatami tea room. Three names, three portraits. The mages hub exists so people stop merging them.

How to learn Chicha in a run

You pick one mage. The Tide does not pause for a wiki rumor.

1. Confirm Chicha is unlocked on your build. The 0.4.6 shot showed the portrait open, unlike Anchan’s 25 lock.
2. Read the tooltip twice. If the card is blank or still loading flavor, do not invent a passive in chat. Screenshot it.
3. Take the first spell you can actually finish. Drawing rules do not change on the fourth portrait. How to play is the loop. Getting started is the first-hour checklist. Shapes live on how to draw spells and the spell sigils table.
4. Watch spacing. Milk wants near-misses. Rum wants you close for blades. Chicha may want something else. Let the first chest and the first death tell you, then walk the magus mansion instead of alt-tabbing to a fake build.

Demo-era names you may still be offered: Ice Spear, Riptide (Quazar / Wattatsumi later), meteor swarm, chain lightning, magic missile, Spellblade on Rum’s line. Rank them on the spell tier list as Tide tools. They are not Chicha uniques unless the card says so.

Tarot and upgrades without a signature to stack

Chicha shops in the Magus Mansion like everyone else. Screenshot cards:

• Empress Upright +10% Speed, Reversed +10% Mana Efficiency.
• Priestess and Hierophant +0.5 Mana Regen (Hierophant T1).
• Emperor +10% Duration at T1.
• Magus listing Bunny Form — a Milk-shaped card. Skip it on Chicha unless the tooltip names you.

The pool is 250+ unique upgrades. Most names are not public. The upgrade tier list ranks types: mana, movement, duration, on-kit persistence. For Chicha, “on-kit” is whatever the in-game card just taught you. Off-kit prestige (Drenal on a run that never saw Spellblade) is bait.

Who to pick instead, and when Chicha is the point

• First session: Milk. Printed survival tools. Getting started.
• Second session: Rum if you want blades, Matcha if you want the tea-room face.
• Third session: Coffee or Chicha as a blind kit test. Write down the tooltip. That is the entire assignment.
• Anchan when you have 25 purple droplets and a finished Ice Spear or Riptide. The 25 is a demo-era price, not a launch promise.

The character tier list parks Chicha in a preview B band for “exists, unlocked, no public tooltip.” That letter will move when a card is quoted. It will not move because a comment section wanted a drink pun.

A session plan that stays honest

Wishlist Steam app 2796640. If demo app 4289390 still installs, do not spend the first extract trying to “main” a silhouette. Extract after a Leviathan if you need mansion currency. Talk to whoever actually has a nameplate. Odds the bartender-bookie is not Chicha. Curio is not Chicha. Tea-room Matcha is not Chicha.

What this page refuses to do

It refuses a lore paragraph about chicha as a beverage. The name is a name. Until By Witchlight prints a biography, we will not write one.

It refuses a damage table. Milk has 3 seconds / 25% speed / 50% size / 25-second cooldown because the select pane printed those numbers. Chicha does not get borrowed numbers.

It refuses a YouTube ID we do not have. There is no official Meet Chicha short in the set this wiki used. We will not invent one.

On or after 24 September 2026, this page should quote a passive, an unlock note if locks remain, and any tarot that names Chicha. Until then, the fourth portrait is a real playable slot with a green-gold sprite and a hole where the combat text should be. Fill the hole in the client, not on this wiki.
